    Award winning downtown Toronto based production company, Boat Rocker Media, is a global entertainment company that creates, produces and distributes premium content and brands for all platforms. Boat Rocker Media is seeking a first-year summer law student to assist and learn from our department of Business and Legal Affairs while gaining work experience in entertainment and corporate law. This position is a tremendous opportunity for anyone who would like to build a career as an entertainment lawyer. Responsibilities

    • Draft and review talent agreements
    • Assist with drafting precedents and company documents
    • Research and advise management on talent guild matters, funding agency requirements and legal and regulatory matters
    • Provide support on general corporate matters related to the company’s business and legal affairs
    Qualifications
    • Entering into second year of law degree (or third year if in a joint program) in Fall 2019
    • Must be well organized, detail-oriented, and efficient
    • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to work both independently and as a team player
    • Must have strong knowledge of the MS Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • A keen interest in working in entertainment law
