Narrated by actor and activist, Queen Latifah, Street Dogs of South Central is feature-length documentary that depicts the lives of stray dogs in South Central, Los Angeles. An essentially forgotten land, South Central contains an eighth of LA’s population, yet accounts for nearly half of all homicides. One in three residents live in poverty in this dangerous area and survival here, for both humans and canines, requires extraordinary determination. This documentary follows the daily struggles of a dog names Elsie, a Black Labrador mix, who fights to raise her puppies on the streets of Los Angeles.
