BOAT ROCKER STUDIOS EXPANDS CREATIVE TEAM WITH TWO EXECUTIVE HIRES

Vanessa Esteves and Joey Case join the Toronto office as part of the company’s strategic focus on owned IP and rights management

TORONTO, ON, March 17, 2026 – Boat Rocker Studios, the award-winning independent entertainment company, has added two executives to its Kids & Family and Unscripted creative affairs teams as part of the organization’s new strategic focus on the creation, ownership and global monetization of premium content across all genres.

Vanessa Esteves joins Boat Rocker Studios as Senior Director, Creative Affairs, Kids & Family. Based in Toronto, Esteves supports the creative development, pre-sales, current series and production of Boat Rocker’s original animation slate. She reports to Gia Delaney (SVP, Global Sales & Content, Kids & Family).

Esteves most recently served as Head of Production and Creative Supervising Producer, Development at Nelvana, where she guided series from concept through delivery. Over her more than 19-year career, Esteves has overseen award-winning and globally recognized brands such as Thomas & Friends, Max & Ruby and Ranger Rob. ‍ ‍

Joey Case joins the Toronto office as Senior Director, Creative Affairs, Unscripted. In the newly created role, Case supports the creative development, pre-sales, current series and production of Boat Rocker’s original unscripted slate. He reports to Natalie Vinet (SVP, Global Sales & Content, Unscripted).

Case most recently served as Executive Producer and Development Executive at Alibi Entertainment, where he spearheaded projects across the company’s slate. With more than 20 years' experience, Case has numerous credits to his name, including serving as co-creator and executive producer of Smithsonian Channel's How Did They Fix That?, Science Channel's Underground Railroad: The Secret History, and Discovery Canada's East Harbour Heroes. ‍‍ ‍
